International Education Summit
Students not only listen to a panel discussion on the specially selected “hot” global topic, but also speak directly with local professionals in “speed networking” sessions where they learn about global careers in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
The International Education Summit (IES) is a program designed to raise student awareness about global careers in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Professionals represent diverse expertise from governmental, community, business, and nonprofit organizations. Representatives of local universities are in attendance as well to inform students of study abroad opportunities.
Each year, a different global topic is chosen and experts in that field discuss their role in approaching the issue.

Global Chatter In The Schools
By examining issues significant to the U.S.’ role in the global community, teachers and students can implement global dialogues directly in their classroom and become active participants in the world community. In-depth analysis of today’s top foreign policy topics serves as a diverse and applicable current events curriculum for high school students.
These materials support global education by:
- Enhancing classroom lessons
- Providing the basis for student or teacher-led clubs or discussion groups
- Preparing students for Academic WorldQuest
- Augmenting current event discussions
Through this face to face interaction with international university scholars, employees, and visitors, students benefit from a genuine connection to cultural diversity. Today’s students develop skills, awareness, and understanding to become global citizens in their communities, both locally and worldwide.
Global Classrooms connect Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky youth through interactive workshops to engage them in learning about world cultures and global challenges.
